CURRENT ENVIRONMENT PROBLEMS THAT OUR WORLD IS FACING

Image
The  world environment  is going too much worst condition day by day as we use our natural resources indiscriminately and fail to manage our waste. Our total environmental condition deteriorate in everyday life but we yet not concern ourselves for save us from different types of natural calamities and extinction of several types of animals spaces groups, it is true that only human are responsible for polluting environment, but if we have a little bit concern than it will make us positive thinker to save our environment. Today it’s a normal matter to through our daily waste everywhere these waste melt and pollute our environment gradually and spread out jams for this reasons our local people get sick easily. Open waste pollute our environment as well as our surroundings but everyone know about the bad effect of waste but do not take immediate steps to save their living area . At present the real situation are so dangerous that we hardly think because not only our la...

The Recycle Story

Image
Khalibottle has created an online platform where customers - individuals or corporates, can register for their waste to be collected for recycling. Once a request is raised for waste collection through a phone call or on their   website , a support team calls the customer and confirms the request. A pickup team arrives at their doorstep with a digital weighing scale and professional dress code, picks the trash and pays the customer as per the weight, through cash, coupons or the option to donate for a cause. The trash collected is segregated and packed according to predefined categories such as soft plastic, pet bottles, glass, cardboard materials, and metal. Finally, the stock is sent to authorised recycling plants around Bangalore, Mysuru, and Hyderabad through road or railways for recycling. Currently Khalibottle isoperates from two warehouses in North Bengaluru and collects waste from locations including Kammanahalli, Benson Town, Kalyan Nagar, Cox Town, Ramamurthy Naga...

A Step Towards Plastic-Free India

Image
Have you ever wondered what happens to the plastic bags, spoons, pet bottles and other such products which you use and discard almost on a daily basis? No, right? Plastic products take around 500 to 1000 years to completely degrade. While India lacks any substantial law to ban the use of plastic bags, authorities of the Golden Temple in Amritsar have taken a commendable initiative in this regard. According to a report by  TOI ,  the   Golden Temple will replace the use of plastic carry bags with biodegradable carry bags from April 1. PPCB chairman Kahan Singh Pannu, in the presence of senior SGPC officials, released the eco-friendly bag from the Golden Temple . They would now discard plastic bags and switch over to compostable bags made of corn and wheat.

A 'PATH-BREAKING' EXPERIMENT

Image
The biggest drawback of plastic, which is now used in every aspect of human life be it domestic use, industrial or research, is that it is biodegradable. It has become a big pollution issue, clogging drains, polluting and dirtying the environment in many ways. Profesor Vasudevan of the Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai, decided to take it upon himself to solve the problem. While experimenting in a laboratory, he mixed waste plastic with heated bitumen. It formed a product that he coated over stone. The first sample of this mixture was used in a road construction on the Thiagarajar College premises. There are various advantages of using plastic in road construction. It is cost effective and it has reduced wear and tear of roads to a great extent. In 2015, a government order made it compulsory to use plastic in all road constructions.

The Forest Man Of India

Image
So i am here with my next blog in which you will get to know the story of the forest man who involved so much in this activity that at the age of 16 he started giving his time in tree plantation. Three decades ago, a 16-year-old boy noticed a large number of reptiles dying in his home district in Assam's Jorhat. When he asked the village elders what would happen if they start dying like the reptiles, they told him that the reptiles died because they lost their homes - the forests. This drove the young boy to get involved in a tree plantation project at Aruna Chapori near Golaghat. After the project was completed, he decided to stay back and cultivate the forest further. Today the forest is spread across 1,300 acres and the young boy Jadav 'Molai' Payeng is now a frail 50-something ageing man but his battle continues. The forest is now home to Bengal tigers, Indian rhinoceros, over 100 deer and rabbits besides apes and several varieties of birds - including a la...

Environment Heroes

Image
Hello guys I am here with my next blog. As you all know that in the last blog we all are discussing about our environment heroes who are ready to save our planet by leaving their jobs.So in today's blog i'll tell you about the man who drew   a link between the scarcity of water and excessive pollution of the city lake.  NS Ramakanth, a 77-year-old retired engineer  When he returned to India from Germany in 1989 to attend to his ailing mother, he was shocked by the filthy condition of the city's lakes. To this day, he can be seen chasing municipal officials to clean up the lakes in the city and motivating volunteers into getting involved in solving civic issues. He recently ran a campaign against the use of PoP-made idols during Ganesha Utsava which cause major damage to the lakes where they are immersed at the end of the festival. He encouraged the use of clay-made idols and made efforts to make them accessible to citizens.

Environment Heroes

Image
So in the next five blogs i will discuss the environment heroes of India and i bring to you stories of individuals and groups who single-handedly took it upon themselves to solve environmental issues. All their achievments have helped to spread the message that every effort that we will take for the environment will be counts. Today we will talk about the man who lives in Gujarat,he is 40-year old and his name is Dr Kalu Dangar. We all know that how we treat our natural beauty so badly. In Gujarat there is a Dhandi beach where people come and enjoy but apart from this they use this beach as a dustbin garbage, wrapers, cans, tins etc you will find there easily. So this man Dr kalu dangar he walks the three kilometer path by the sea daily, picking up each piece of litter,he cleans the main entrance and fills the over head tank. He has been doing this job since the last four years. Everyday,he hope to see lesser waste than the day before.

Greenhouse Effect

Image
Hello everyone, today we will discuss the most important topic of a climate change. Before we dig deep into this it is important for us to know the basic meaning of greenhouse effect. We all must heard this word during any debate of global warming. The light that we get from the sun helps to keep the planet warm.Out of the 100% light, almost 30% sunlight is reflected back into space by clouds, snow, ice, sand and other reflective surfaces. About 70% of the sunlight is absorbed by the ocean, land and the atmosphere. The heat produced by the sunlight is in the form of Infrared Radiation before it enters into earth it all absorbed by the greenhouse gases present in the atmosphere. The absorption of the radiations by greenhouse gases make the temperature warm for human. Without greenhouse effect the planet would be lesser by 30 degree celsius and this would be too cold for us to survive. The major greenhouse gases are carbon dioxide, ozone, methane and water vapor. Although these gases compr...

Hole In The Ozone Layer

Image
Good morning guys, hope you all are doing well and i am here with my next blog in which you will get to know more about the ozone layer. Ozone is mainly found above the earth's surface and it extends upto about 30 miles. This region of the atmosphere is called the stratosphere. The ozone in this region is commonly known as the ozone layer. The layer plays a vital role it absorbs the ultraviolet sunlight. It thus plays a key role in the temperature structure of the earth's atmosphere. But this layer is depleting day by day and if it continues then the sun rays enters directly and it will harm the ecosystem. The ozone hole is a annual thinning of the ozone layer over antarctic. However, the ozone hole is most usually measured not in terms of ozone concentrations at these levels but by reduction in the total column ozone. The main cause of the ozone hole is by the CFC(chlorofluorocarbon) compound which breaks down due to ultraviolet light and become free radicals containing...

Climate Change Impact

Image
Today you all will get to know the impact of climate change that are felt everywhere. These are the most important impacts: Rising Sea Levels:- Average sea level around the world rose about 8 inches in the past 100 years; climate scientists expect it to rise more and more rapidly in the next 100 years as part of climate change impact. Melting Ice:- Scientists said that if these situations remains the same then the world's glaciers will have disappeared, as well the polar ice cap,and the huge antarctic ice shelf. Hurricanes and typhoons:- They will become more stronger if situation remains the same. This will increase the risk of people and deaths. Heatwaves and drought:-Droughts and heatwaves will become common in the upcoming years.Rising temperature are hardly surprising nowadays. Hot dry places will get hotter and drier. Changing Ecosystem:- Because of the climate change effect  entire ecosystem will move. Farmers in temperate zones are finding drier conditions d...

Killer Summer Heat

Image
Good morning everyone, sorry i can say heat wave morning. So i am here with my next blog and you know already that we are discussing on the climate change and today you will get to know the difference of degree from last ten years. According to a 2009 article in Scientific American,a team of climate change researches from the world health organisation found that Global Warming is responsible for some 1,50,000 deaths each year around the world. Global warming becomes the serious situation and they feared this number would be double by the 2030. In the upcoming years there will be a rapid increase in average temperature throughout the world. Heat related death will be increased and risk to public health will goes up when high temperature mix with the other weather condition. There is a greenhouse gas which traps the heat and protect the earth from UV rays of sun but this greenhouse gas reduced from our own activities. The most common causes of death related to rising temperature i...

The Consequences

Image
Hello everyone hope you all are doing well, and i am here with my next blog in which you will get to know about the consequences and effects of climate change. Glaciers have shrunk, ice on rivers and lake is breaking up earlier, plant and animal ranges have shifted and trees are flowering sooner. All these problems effecting our ecosystem and we as a protector enjoying our life without considering these problems. We all know that one day we will have to face the harsh reality. Effects that scientists had predicted in the past would result from global climate change are now occurring. Scientists have high confidence that global temperature will continue to rise for decades to come, largely due to greenhouse gases produced by human activities.  Some of the global climate change are as follows: Temperature will continue to rise. Frost-free season (and growing season) will lengthen. Changes in precipitation pattern. More droughts and heat waves. Sea level will rise 1-4 feet ...

Weather Or Climate Change

Image
So, I am here with my 3rd blog i hope you guys are getting all the necessary information how climate is effecting our environment day by day. So in this blog you guys will get to know the difference between weather and a climate change. Some people say "weather is what you get" and "climate is what you expect". Weather is what conditions of the atmosphere are over a short period of time examples are familiar rain, snow, winds, storms, heat waves and floods. On the other hand climate change means how the atmosphere "behaves" over relatively long period of time. So when we are talking about the climate change, we are talking about changes in long term averages of daily weather. As always, i am here to welcome your questions and comments.

Climate Umbrella

Image
Hello everyone i am back with my next blog as i told you in my previous blog that there are still opportunities for us that can make a better environment and there are still so many solutions for this problem. Forests yes they are one of them, they are the heroes of the climate change story. I can say forests can be part of the solution. Forests and climate both are internally linked. The loss and degradation of forests effects the climate, they are the cause in reshaping the climate. But if we reduce this loss,we can reduce carbon emissions and we can have the multiple benefits for ecosystems and people. Now one question that arises is Can forests re-emerge as climate heroes? Yes forests plays a critical role in modifying the climate change. Every country must reserve their forest land and if we don't then it will increasingly pollute the atmosphere. Prince Charles stated that they are the world's air conditioning system-the lungs of the planets and we are on the border o...

There Are Still Opportunities For Us.

Image
Climate change is the change in the distribution of weather patterns. Sudden we all feel sad when we heard this word because in deep we all know that we are depleting our home day by day. Climate change includes melting of ice, temperature change, global warming, change in the atmosphere. This is the change which is affecting our home . But we know everyday is a new opportunity. You can build on yesterday's success or put its failure behind and start over again. We all together can make a change in our environment if we work together and there are still opportunities and chances that can make a better environment again.
